Date: Tue, Mar 27, 2012 From: Paulo Henrique Tsingos Subject: Messier Marathon 2012 Hi there! just for information, we the amateur astronomers of the "Deep Space Group" from Lecco, Italy, did our first Messier Marathon on the night from March 24th to 25th on the Giumello Alp (Lat. +46°05', Long. 9°35' E, alt. 1655m) and scored 101 out of 110! participants were: myself (10" Meade dobsonian f/4,5) & Vittorio Serra (10" Sky Watcher dobsonian f/6) both supported, controlled and followed by Monica Meroni and Martino Fossati Plus some other members of our group were "up there" as "aggregate observers" with their own scopes: Ennio Monti (150mm Vixen Refractor), Mirko de Martini (9" Celestron), Giuseppe Gnata (114mm newtonian) and Claudio Fossati.
