We, a group of astronomy enthusiasts, amateur and professional astronomers, conducted the Messier marathon on 25 March 2023 from Nakshatra Astrofarm, Balshetpada, Maharashtra, India. Our group consisted of people ranging from 7 to 65 years of age. The sky was clear for the entire duration of the observation, resulting in favorable conditions to carry out the Messier marathon. However, as the moon was in its waxing crescent phase, the first few messier objects in the search sequence could not be observed. Further, the last few objects in the search sequence could not be observed due to sunlight at the time of dawn. In addition, a few other objects could not be observed due to their low apparent visual magnitude and/or due to them being too close to the horizon. We were able to observe a total of 77 objects from the Messier catalog. The Bode's Galaxy, Cigar Galaxy, Triplet Galaxy in Leo Constellation, Swan Nebula, Great Hercules Cluster, Owl nebula, Ring Nebula, etc. were some of the objects that fascinated the observers the most.
