That same group of us from CloudyNights.com electronically-assisted astronomy (EAA) forum would like to attempt the Messier Marathon again this year. We'll be attempting it on the evenings of March 5-6 and April 2-3 (both times). If weather is bad for one of the times, we hope it will be better for the other. This year, on our team, we have participants wanting to take part simultaneously in Adelaide, Sydney, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Spain, England, and throughout all time zones in North America and Canada. We still aren’t sure of the numbers, but the potential is there for upwards of 50 amateur astronomers to participate on the same Zoom call. Several will be trying to observe and image all 110 objects singly, but simultaneously work together EAA-style also to complete the marathon together as a team. Again, I just serve as a facilitator, but I'm writing you on behalf of the entire group, thanking you for your tireless service in tracking all the participants. Your example of volunteerism and passion for the night sky is an inspiration to us all. Doug Lucas CloudyNights EAA Messier Marathon Team
