Subject: Re: 2024 Arizona Messier Marathon info RESULTS From: Michael Poppre Date: Mon, Mar 25, 7:34 PM Hello Hartmut, The Saguaro Astronomy Club (https://www.saguaroastro.org/) held it's 2024 Messier Marathon (https://www.saguaroastro.org/all-arizona-messier-marathon/) during the Spring Star Party co-sponsered by the East Valley Astronomy Club (https://www.evaconline.org/) the weekend of March 8/10. For the MM night of the 9th, we had 55 "set ups" of observers at the site with an estimated 60 to 70 people spread out across the observing field west of Phoenix, AZ. A total of 12 observers turned in object sheets with numbers found ranging from 60 to 109 objects on the Messier list. The top place holders were Steve Rottas (109), Craig Averell (108), Don Wrigley (107), Mike Cawley (107), Ray Malcolm (107). Others participating included George Klenklen (105), Terry Shay (104), Andrew Thorpe (103), Joan McGue (83), Jack Jones (62), Joe Goss (60) and Ben Mirzaian (60). Thanks for posting the results!
